Full Day Preschool Option with Meals
These classrooms are for children with significant educational needs. They can attend preschool for 2, 3 or 4 mornings a week as determined by the IEP team. These preschool classrooms also have a full day option that includes childcare. They full day option is available for all children who meet the CDS-CC policy for childcare (parents must be working full time or full time students, in need of childcare and are offered the option of childcare from a waiting list). Children with disabilities have the same opportunity for full day childcare as typically developing children.
For the half day pre-school program, school starts at 8:30 and ends at 12:30 with 2 meals being served. If the child stays for childcare, school starts at 8:30 (parents can bring them in starting at 7:00 am) and they can stay until the building closes at 5:30 pm.

Preschool 4 Days per Week Option
These classrooms are preschool only with children attending 4 half day sessions per week. There are morning sessions and afternoon sessions. We currently have 4 classrooms with 4 days/week option. The Amazon and Meadow have 4 day morning and afternoon sessions while the Arctic, and Outback Classrooms have only afternoon sessions available, Classrooms are 3 hour sessions. The start and end times for these classrooms are staggered by 15 minutes to assist children with more severe needs thus needing more regular education time and possibly more specialized instruction.

Preschool 2 Days per Week Option
This classroom is preschool only with children attending for two days per week. In order to serve more children, we use two classrooms with four different sessions. The sessions are Monday and Wenesday morning and Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The Arctic hours are 8:15-11:15 am and the Outback hours are 8:30-11:30 am. Children placed in these classrooms typically have less severe needs.
